Si Griffiths is a self taught artist inspired by Lowbrow, Surreal, Fantasy, Pop, Street, Tattoo art, comic books and death.
The term “Lowbrow” almost seems too throwaway to describe the depth of emotion conveyed in Si Griffiths’ work, but it’s a movement he’s more than pleased to be a part of.
Being self taught he is unencumbered by the constraints of a traditional art schooling, and is able to express this wide variety of inspirations through an even wider spectrum of media, ranging from the traditional oil on canvas, to spray can on large boards.
Even though he uses a myriad of techniques, the constant that runs through all of his work is the wonderful ability to convey human emotion through narrative and composition. You don’t just look at Si’s work, you feel it.
