MP13TZ’s (or Matt to his friends!) artistic path began with several years spent as a tattoo artist in the East of England. He specialises in freehand work and original paintings.
His ‘Total Unhookery’ collection, which will debut at Unhooked the Exhibition, expresses his experiences with his own mental health struggles, particularly with regards to lockdown and government imposed restrictions.
Despite the often deep subject matter, MP13TZ’s work, which is inspired by pop art, cubism and old school tattoo flash, always uses incredible, bright colours which give it a positive and upbeat first impression.
